I’m Sharon Gordon (formerly Valencik) and I wrote the book SWEET UTOPIA: Simply Stunning Vegan Desserts. I blog about veganism, health, recipes, environmentalism, becoming vegan, and being a mom of vegan kids. I can be found at the following locations too:

I own your cookbook, and I’m wondering if you can answer a question for me? I need a fancy dessert that I can make ahead and store in the freezer until it’s needed. Do you have any suggestions about which of your recipes would freeze the best? I’m looking for something impressive, “restaurant quality” in terms of taste and presentation, and though I’d love to try all of the recipes in the book, it would be great if I had some idea of which recipes you’d suggest.
Thank you so much,
Julie
My hubby and I recently switched to vegan. Our 5 year old still eats cheese and milk, but meat has been going by the wayside for him, too. (he actually likes meatless nuggets better than chicken):) My hubby and I are taking a b12 supp, but should he be taking anything other than his daily multivitamin? Thanks’

Hi Jenn!
It depends on how well the kiddos are eating. If they’re eating greens (however you can get them into them, see my smoothie ideas on blog), then my biggest concern is always a multi plus DHA. If yours are still vegetarian, a multi is probably enough. I try to make my kids superfood shakes often that have spirulina, chia seed, and veggies/fruits. This covers lots of bases.
Feel free to ask me any other questions, and I’ll get back to you sooner! (:
